Sunday sunshine

On Sunday we spent all day at my parent's house. It was another wonderful day got up to almost 90 degrees. Livi spent almost the whole day in her swimsuit. My dad put their yoga ball in the pool and he and my mom let Livi soak them. They would sit on the ball and she'd dump cups of water all over them. I think my dad got it the worst Livi had him soaked. He also set up a fan outside and out her bubble wand up to it so they'd blow everywhere. We finished the evening off with my dad's awesome smoked BBQ chicken and had smores. We used the new jumbo marshmallows and they tasted so good.

Video~ Ian rolling

I finally got Ian rolling over on video and wanted to share it. He starts out chewing on his bunny then rolls over. He's getting so big!

Pool~Chalk~ Bubbles

Spent the evening at my parent's tonight. It was another beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest. When I was driving to their house the temperature outside read 86 degrees. Yesterday when Livi and I were at the zoo I saw this girl with a really cool bubble wand that made huge bubbles. We stopped at Fred Meyer's before we left and they had the bubble wands there on sale for $1. I bought the last two they had on the shelve and Livi had a blast playing with it. I had a package of side walk chalk in my car and Livi colored all over the back patio. She spent lots of time splashing in her pool, even Ian liked having his little feet in the water. It's going to be warm again tomorrow so hopefully we can go enjoy the sunshine as a family. Matt works only 4 hours tonight so he'll be able to get some sleep earlier which will be nice.

Summer BBQ

After nap time today the kids and I went to my parent's then we headed up to Mud Mt. Dam for a BBQ and to play in the sunshine. Matt worked last night and works tonight so he was sleeping. There was hardly anyone there the park is usually packed. In Enumclaw this weekend Creation Northwest is going on (bummed we didn't go this year. Before kids Matt and I went every summer over at the Gorge. This is the first year it's in Enumclaw.) the Enumclaw Street Fair is also going on so I'm sure that's why the park was dead. It was so much fun chasing Livi around the playground. We ate and then had smores. Livi was so dirty by the time we got home gave her a bath then she asked to go to bed. She had a busy day today.

Zoo trip

This morning Livi and I left the boys at home and went to the zoo with my friend, Bree and her son Dylan. It was a beautiful day we couldn't have asked for better weather. Livi and I took a ride on a camel (Bree took photos with her camera I need to get some copies then I can post those) she also got to feed the Budgie Buddies. Usually when we go they're never in the mood for eating. Today she got to feed three of them. I thought she'd be scared of the birds landing on her but she wasn't. We spent time looking at her favorite animals there, the meerkats. Before we left the four of us rode on the carousel then a quick stop by the gift shop on the way out. Livi picked out a meerkat stuffed animal and a book on meerkats. On the way out we stopped at the Point Defiance park and had a picnic lunch. It was such a fun day and there's still a lot of day time left. Naps then out to enjoy more sunshine.

A year ago today I found out I was pregnant with Ian! It really doesn't feel like it's been a year. Here's the story on how I found out since I never shared it. I had been feeling pretty off so I went to my doctor to get blood drawn thinking I was having issues with my thyroid again. I had blood drawn on Friday. Was shopping at Target for items for Shea's bridal shower on Saturday and bought a test just to see. Sunday morning dropped Livi and Matt off at his brother's house before my sister's shower that morning. I had made a breakfast casserole and the smell of it was making me nauseous so I decided to run home and take the test real quick and PREGNANT appeared within seconds. Then off I went to the shower and didn't tell anyone there because I didn't want to take away from my sister. I was handed several mimosas and act like I was drinking them at the shower brunch. After the shower I picked Matt and Livi up and told him the news. I was freaking but Matt calmed me down. I had zero idea I was pregnant or else I could have found out weeks prior I was 6 weeks along when I got the positive. Monday morning my doctor had my blood results and confirmed I was pregnant and my thyroid levels were normal.

Rice cereal

I was about to make Ian his last bottle of the night when I realized I had bought rice cereal for him and we hadn't tried it yet. We were giving the OK to start giving him a little bit so I decided to go for it. It was a spur of the moment idea and I wasn't prepared so don't mind my
'ghetto' set up. He was in his bouncy seat because the bumbo was in the car and his bibs were downstairs so it's a mess. Ian seemed to like it I didn't give him to much just a few small bites. He would move it around his mouth then spit some out then wipe it with his hands and chew his fingers. I even let him grab on to the spoon for a while.
