I've been looking forward to last night for months! All the girls at my work and a few other friends all went to see the midnight release of the Twilight Sage Eclipse. My sister took both the kids for the whole night so I could go out to dinner and have some drinks with everyone before the movie. Tuesday is the one night Matt can't get off work so he wasn't able to go. We started the night out at Applebees had dinner and some amazing drinks :) I haven't really had any sort of adult beverages (besides beer) since before I was pregnant with Alivia. I had a pretty good buzz going on when we arrived at the theater around 9:30 pm then a few of my co-workers and mom showed up with wine for us to drink while waiting outside in line to be seated for the movie. They were smart got some vitamin water dumped it out and filled the bottles with box wine lol classic. I thought they were totally going to arrive red cups in hand but were smarter then I thought. We got seated around 11:30 pm and once again like when we saw New Moon at midnight our screen wasn't working took them an extra 10-15 minutes to get the movie going. The movie was pretty good. Thought they jumped around to much so if you haven't read the books you might get lost. I was eager to see the tent scene (Fire and Ice in the book if you've read it, my fave chapter out of all the books) at the end of the scene the screen went black and the lights turned on. I guess the film caught on fire so it took them 20 mins to get it going again but we missed some of the movie because they couldn't rewind it. So lame I was ticked missed out on part of the movie I was most eager to see. The theater staff did give everyone in our theater a free ticket to come back so that was nice.Wednesday, June 30, 2010

day 4
I really enjoyed having the last four days off. The weather was perfect everyday I couldn't have picked a better time to take off. This evening we went to my parent's for a BBQ. My dad smoked pork shoulder so we had pulled pork sandwiches so yummy!!!! Livi spent almost the whole evening in the backyard playing with the bubble gun we got her and the street fair yesterday. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow I loved spending these last few days with my kiddos.

Day 3 Log Show
The reason I had a four day weekend was because the Buckley Loggers Rodeo was going on. Last year I wanted to take Livi to the parade, but I had to work. Saturday seemed pretty dead I took the day off. Plus it's a pain trying to get from Enumclaw through Buckley in the afternoon during the loggers rodeo. So this morning Livi and I left the boys at home and went to the parade. She loved it! I was worried that all the horns and sirens would hurt her ears, but Livi didn't mind. She kept waving to everyone as they went by. After the parade we went home for lunch and she needed a nap then we headed to my parent's house. My parents don't live to far from down town so we walked back to the log show/street fair. It was a perfect day the sun was out, got up to around 75 degrees. It always seems like a mini high school reunion every time I go to the Log Show. I ran into so many people I went to school with. Our friends, son's, boy scout troop had a jumbo blow up slide set up so Seth brought Livi to the top and she slid down by herself. I thought she might get scared but she didn't even hesitate to go down. After a quick stop by one of the vendor booth we got Livi a bubble gun then watched the rodeo for an hour before heading back.

Day 2
Bummed the sunshine isn't out today. It's about 65 degrees and cloudy, but I'd take that over the rain any day. Late this morning I got the kids ready so we could go to Target to pick of a few things we needed. I was thumbing through the mail before we left the drive way and out of the corner of my eye I saw a nasty looking spider on my dash board. I HATE spiders they freak me out so I ran inside woke Matt up and told him to come kill it for me. He wasn't thrilled, but he came out and tried but the spider kept hiding in the vents so finally he gave up and I took the kids back inside. There's no way I was going to drive with that in the car if it jumped on me I may freak out not worth the risk. Matt looked up the spider online and gave me the info on it, not poisonous, but it's a jumper and showed me a picture of the nasty thing, ewww..
My friend, Keren text me and asked if I wanted to meet her and Trina for lunch so I decided to be brave and just go. I took a good look around the car and didn't spot the spide,r figured he left or was still hiding out in the vents. I got to Applebees and opened the door to pull Ian's car seat out and oh my goodness the stupid spider was on the handle to his seat. I was so upset but I knew I had to get him off so I snatched my wallet and tried to flick the stupid thing out of the car after a few swipes I got it out and I stepped on him. Me-1 Spider-0.
Tell me this thing isn't creepy this is the closest photo I could find to the nasty thing!
Lunch was fun it's always nice to have some girl talk. The kids all got along and had a fun time. Trina and I were going to see each other at Disco kids tonight but it got canceled. Stacy's studio got broke into earlier this month so with them repairing things and the glass that was shattered it was better the didn't do it tonight so none of the kids would get hurt.

After lunch we finally made it over to Target. Livi is all about Toy Story lately so we've been getting her the toys and today they had a Woody doll on sale for $24.99 he says 25 different sayings when you pull his string. She loves him! We're also planning on doing a Toy Story themed b-day party for Alivia this year. I have lots of neat ideas which I'll share in a different post. Nap time for the family hope you all enjoy the weekend!

Day 1
Today was the first day of my 4 day weekend! I guess I wouldn't count it as a full day off because I went into work for an hour to color one of my favorite client's hair. My mom watched the kiddos for me while I went up to the salon then when I came back we took a trip to Main Street Coffee, in Buckley. Love that coffee shop :) and they sell my favorite biscotti, it's a German chocolate coconut kind so yummy!
Then we spent the rest of the afternoon at my co-worker, Shellee's house. She had a pool set up for the kids which Livi loved! I got her the cutest swimsuit a while ago so I was happy she finally got to wear it. There was minor incident while the kids played, all three of Shellee's kids were swinging and Livi walked out in front of Colton (born the same day as Livi) and he bashed right into her knocked her to the ground and got her a few more times before we were able to get over to her. Livi was screaming poor girl. Looked her over she had a bloody mouth but nothing too bad just got her a wet wash cloth and she was back in the water. Got up to almost 80 it's about time and the forecast says we'll be sunny through the weekend!

Toy Story 3

This morning Matt and I took the kids to go see Toy Story 3. Livi loves anything Toy Story so we thought we'd try the movie theater thing again in hopes she'd do better then she did when we saw Shrek last month. She did good up until the last 15 mins then I had to go bring her out to the car she was having a major melt down. It was nearing nap time so I think that and the sugar from everything she ate brought it on. It was a really good movie, bummed I had to miss the end but Matt filled me in on what happened. Ian was fantastic, he basically slept the whole time. I totally recommend going out and seeing TS3. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Father's day
Happy Father's day to my amazing husband and wonderful Dad!!! As well as the other Daddy's out there. Hope you all enjoyed your day. I left my camera at my parents house this morning so I wasn't able to get any photos of Matt with the kiddos today so in honor of today I'll post my fave photos of Matt with each of the kids.

A birthday weekend

First I want to congratulate my friend, Susan and her husband Pat on the birth of their first baby, Tucker James who was born today! Yay Ian has another friend :)
Yesterday our niece Launa had a surprise party. The family met up at Chris and Erin's and were there to surprise her when she got home from school. Livi was so excited she kept yelling 'surprise' when ever anyone would walk in the door. Then she kept telling Launa to open her presents faster it was so funny. Crazy to think Launa was born right after Matt and I started dating 8 years ago.
After work today my friend Rebecca threw a birthday party for her daughter Bella who turned 4 on the 17th. She had a Ninja Turtle themed party it was so fun. There were 4 kids Livi's age there and they destroyed the play room. The weather is crummy again it was 50 something today and raining so her party was moved in doors so the kids weren't able to play on Bella's new play set in the backyard or do any outdoor games. Rebecca is due in 11 days with her second baby girl. Can't wait to meet baby Rosalee when she makes her arrival.
Our family waiting for Launa to get home

Happy 8th B-day Launa

Sophie
While pregnant with Ian I stumbled across tons of articles on the Internet and in baby magazines about Sophie the Giraffe. Sophie is from what everyone says, the best teething toy around. Figured when Ian started teething I'd look into getting him one. While on Facebook this afternoon a local baby boutique down in Sumner announced they got a shipment of Sophie's in. Since Ian had been chewing on all his toys lately I ran down and got one before they sold out. Got it home tonight and he loves it! Livi also loves Sophie and kept stealing it from her brother. She squeaks like a dog toy so I need to remember to keep it off the ground so Lexi doesn't take off with it.
