Full Moon

I'm crossing my fingers tonight I'll go into labor. I've heard a lot of women go into labor when there's a full moon. So here's to hoping sure it wont work but I can be hopeful about it.

Today was my first official day of maternity leave and it was a busy day. Slept in which was nice (Thank you Matt) then I went to my friend, Mandie's baby shower. She is married to Matt's, best friend, Brandon. Brandon is in the Military and they're being stationed in Montana sometime in March. They're expecting their first baby in September so before they moved his mom threw them a shower. Did some running around shopping wise this evening and then finished the night off having dinner and hanging out at my parent's house.

Plan on spending tomorrow cleaning and grocery shopping. Getting the last few things in order before Ian arrives. OB appt on Tuesday I'm praying I dilate more so I can be induced later this week.

25th Birthday and 38 weeks

Today is my 25th birthday and the start of my 38th week of pregnancy. Didn't get my birthday wish of having the baby but I had a wonderful day with my family. Got to sleep in a little bit this morning that was nice. Then this afternoon Livi and I met my friend, Rebecca and her daughter Bella at the park so the girls could run around for a while. Livi and I got lunch together then went home for a much needed nap for the both of us. Then this evening Matt, Livi and I went up to The Rock in Lakeland Hills for dinner. Shealun was working and for my birthday gave us free appetizers and dessert what a awesome sister!

Saturday marks my official last day of work for 5-6 weeks woo hoo! Can't wait Matt also starts his 5 weeks off on Saturday it's going to be so nice to have all this time to spend as a family. Wish I could take more time off, but the bills have to get paid. If I don't update anymore this week have a wonderful weekend! 38 weeks

38 week appt

Had another OB appt this afternoon. Zero weight gain this week so only up 30 lbs total so far yay! Ian's heart rate was 140/BPM everything looked good. No cervix change from two weeks ago so I was pretty bummed considering I want to get induced next week. It's still a possibility as long as I'm at least to a 2. I was 2-3 cms when he induced me with Livi and would like me to be to that point again. So I go back next Tuesday and hopefully I'll be induced Thursday or Friday keep your fingers crossed for me I'm so done being pregnant. I personally think Ian should show up early that'd be the greatest birthday gift ever!

Straight hair and big girl potty

This morning my sweet little girl let me flat iron her hair for the first time. I've been wanting to do it for a while now but didn't ever think she'd sit still enough for me to do it. I finished doing my hair and she was sitting outside the bathroom door playing on her laptop and I sat down with her and did it. I couldn't believe how long her hair is when it's all smoothed out so adorable. Livi's in this cheesy smile phase now you ask her to smile and she gets all squinty eyed and big smile it's so dorky but way to cute.

This afternoon we met up with my family for an early birthday lunch at the Cheesecake factory. My birthday is on Thursday and with every one's schedule today worked out best. I had my usual favorite the Steak Diane mmm so good and finished it off with a slice of Red Velvet cheese cake yum. After lunch we walked around South Center mall for a while and swung by Target before heading home. We got Alivia a princess potty chair hopefully while we're off after the baby comes we can potty train her. She had no desire to try it out this evening so we just let her play around with it to get comfortable with it. She even put her toy unicorn on the potty. I keep telling Ian he should come tonight but I doubt he's going to listen to me but I'll keep my fingers crossed he decides to show up soon I'm 100% done with being pregnant!

37 week appt

Had my 37 week check up this afternoon. Nothing to exciting just the usual routine. I did the Group B strep test last week and that came back negative so that's good. Ian's heart rate was 130/bpm and my OB's already guessing his weight over 8 lbs. I have a feeling he'll be close to 10 lbs but we'll see. My OB was off with Livi's weight said she's be about 7 1/2 lbs and she was 9 lbs 4 oz. Still looks like induction will be taking place sometime the first week of March. We'll know more next week at my appt. Crossing my fingers he comes early I want him to be born on Feb 24th. If that happens Shellee at work all her kid's birthdays will co-inside with birthdays in my family. Her daughter, Leah and I have the same birthday Feb 25th, and her youngest, Colton and Livi were born on the exact same day. So if Ian were to come on the 24th of Feb. he'd share a birthday with her middle son Ty. Weird how that all worked out only at our salon we have stuff like that happen lol

36 week appt

Had my 36 week appt this afternoon and I'm happy to say Ian is no longer breech! My little man has flipped into the head down position yay! I wanted to hop off the table and do a happy dance when my OB told me the news. I didn't gain any weight in the last 2 weeks so I think I'm up 28 lbs so far. Ian's heart rate was at 144. I had my blood drawn two weeks ago to check to see if I was anemic and I'm borderline anemic so I have to take a iron pill once daily the rest of my pregnancy. I got checked today as well I'm 1 cm dilated and my cervix is 50 % thinned out. Making some slight progress. Hopefully next week I'll be dilated a bit more.

Baby Shower

This afternoon I was thrown a baby shower with all my close girlfriends! It was so much fun! We are truly blessed with such great friends little Ian was spoiled he got tons of new clothes, toys, diapers and wipes. Even Livi was given a few gifts. Busy day

This morning Matt and I took Livi to the mall to play in the play area they have set. She ran wild with two of her cousin's for a good hour. We did some grocery shopping before heading home and let me tell you with my coupons and club card savings we saved $49.99 off our total bill we were excited about that. After a long afternoon nap I met up with a friend for sushi (I only eat the cooked stuff can't do raw nasty) then we went to the movies, saw 'Dear John' based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. It was a tear jerker at times and stuck pretty close to the book. It was fun to get out and have a girls night since those will be few and far between once Ian arrives.

This weekend my sister is throwing me a little baby shower or 'sprinkle' with my close girl friends so I'll update with photos from that on Sunday. Enjoy the weekend and Super Bowl Sunday I'm not a football person but I always watch Super Bowl for the commercials hopefully they'll have some good ones this year.
