My dad is turning 50 in two weeks so we surprised him with a 10 month old Corgi named Band-Jo last Monday. Band-Jo, was one of our clients dogs. They were looking for a new family because Band-Jo's dad was constantly attacking him. So they would have to be locked up in separate rooms all day. I went with my mom and picked him up last Sunday while my dad was in Denver for the weekend. He was very timid at first, but he's doing great now. He getting along with the other two Corgis: Stella and Mason as well as Shealun and Roger's bulldog, Daisy. So our family has grown by two Corgis in two weeks. Kyle got a 12 week old Corgi (Mr. Mason as Livi calls him) he's adorable and so playful. Being around all the Corgis makes me want one...kind of.Monday, February 27, 2012

Saturday was my birthday, 27 years old. Twenty-seven feels good, it's going to be a great year I just know it.
I had a fun weekend of celebrating, Friday we celebrated with my family. Went out to dinner and dessert that night and Matt and my parents surprised me with a Kindle Fire. I have been wanting one since they came out. I love it! On Saturday I went into work for a few hours and my friend, Arlene picked me up. We met up with my friend, Rebecca and had lunch and drinks. After lunch Arlene and I went shopping. Got some new jeans and jewelry. Arlene spoiled me and got the two of us Tim McGraw tickets. He's coming to the Puyallup Fair in Sept. The concert is forever away, but I'm looking forward to it. I had so much fun this weekend it was nice spending time with my family and having some me time as well.

Arizona
Last Sunday February 5th I picked up my good friend, Nick and his family at the airport. They had a 20 hour layover in Seattle, after a cruise and before heading back home to Alaska. They spent the day and night with us and on Monday morning Matt dropped his family as well as our kids and myself off at the airport. The kids and I spent the last six days in Arizona with my grandparents. I was really nervous about flying with both kids by myself, but I did it. Nick's flight left an hour after my flight did so they were able to help me get through security and their daughter Brooke kept the kids entertained while we waited to board. The flight to Phoenix went better then expected. Gidian had a few melt downs and Livi got yelled out by a grumpy man in front of her because she kicked his seat, but we made it. We had a fun filled week full of many shopping trips, lunch at some great restaurants, a trip to the Phoenix Zoo, swimming and soaking up as much vitamin D as we could. The way home was a bit more difficult juggling 2 kids, 3 carry on bags and a stroller through security was a pain, but once we were in the air Gidian slept most the flight home and the flight attendants were keeping Livi busy with snacks, coloring books, crayons, apple juice and she had her V-reader and games we packed. We had a great time and I wish we could have stayed longer. It's always so much fun with my grandparents. I'm so glad we're able to see them as often as we do.
