Daddy and me

On Sunday afternoon Matt and Livi went out shopping together. It was the first time Matt had taken her anywhere by himself. With us working opposite shifts and only one car he's never gotten the chance just spend time with her because I always like to tag along. They just made a quick trip to Target to pick up some things and daddy bought Livi a new toy. She's really into the Little Einstein's TV show on Disney channel it's pretty musically oriented it has four kids that fly all over in a rocket ship type thing and in order to get the rocket to fly or go faster they pat their hands onto their thighs and say 'pat, pat, pat etc...' then start patting faster to make rocket move quicker. Well in the last few weeks when ever they start patting Livi will start doing it as well it's so funny. Matt said while they were at Target he showed her the toy and put it back since it was $40 and he went to go down another isle and Livi just started screaming 'pat, pat, pat, pat' so he caved and bought it for her.
Alivia will be a year an a half coming up on May 9th crazy! Well enjoy the photos sorry it's been so long since I last updated I've been so busy!

Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We've had a busy weekend. Alivia attended her first wedding last night. A good family friend of mine, Stephanie got married yesterday it was beautiful! I went up to her parent's house yesterday morning with one of my co-workers and we did everyone in the bridal parties hair. During the ceremony Livi was being so good, I was scared she would start screaming or trying to wiggle free from my grasp since she doesn't like being held anymore. After Stephanie said "I do" Livi shouted "WOO HOO" perfect timing haha I put my hand over her mouth so fast. I felt horrible, but everyone got a kick out of it.
Today we all slept in and went to Matt's cousin's for a family get together. Then went to my parents for dinner. The sunshine has finally disappeared and there's talk of that white stuff I hate coming tomorrow fantastic, NOT! Spring just needs to get here and stick around. Enjoy the photos from this weekend!

Cartoon inspiration

I've been slacking and haven't done my weekly grocery shopping in about 2 weeks. Just grabbing things here and there and having Matt bring home random items when he comes home from work. The last few months I've been trying to save as much as possible while I'm at the grocery store. So every Tuesday we get the Safeway ads in the mail then I sit down and write out my weekly grocery list and plan a whole week worth of meals using what's on sale. On average I save at least $40/ week doing this. I worked until almost 8pm tonight and had no motivation to figure out what to make for dinner. Little Caesars went in right across the street from our salon so my stomach was leaning me that direction. Then I remembered duh... what was my last blog about? Loosing 10 lbs!! So pizza was out of the question. Still stumped on what to cook for dinner I remembered a quick easy snack I saw on the Disney Channel earlier this week. There is a show called 'Tasty Time with Ze Fronk' they usually show it between two shows Livi likes to watch in the morning. Basically if you haven't seen it, it's about this dog that makes nutritious snacks that are easy enough for kids to make with the help of their parents. So in order to eat semi healthy today I got my dinner inspiration from that show. I made some turkey wraps. Easy, fast and good Livi even enjoyed them. A lot better for the old waist line then a pizza. Plus I have not had a Starbucks since Sunday. (I think I deserve a pat on the back for that one haha)

10 lbs

As most of you know I have no motivation what so ever to work out, I'll just say it I'm lazy! I I bought a Nintendo Wii and the Wii Fit last August. Used it for a good 2 weeks before heading out on vacation and never used it again. I don't know how many work out videos i've bought and never opened the package. With my sister's wedding coming up in 4 1/2 months (geez where is time going didn't she just get engaged?) I want to loose 10 lbs. I had great success with Weight Watchers after I had Livi. I lost like 24 lbs total in the 3 months I did it, 7 lbs my very first week! It just got to be to expensive so I stopped doing it. With the weather starting to get nice Matt, Livi and I are going walking every morning as long as it's not pouring rain. In a few weeks I want to buy a jogging stroller so I can start jogging. (Keep laughing I know it's a funny thought, me jogging I can hardly see it myself) So with walking, jogging and eating better I hopefully will loose the 10 lbs I want to before Shea's wedding. One of my major hurtles is cutting out Starbucks. I've done it before and I know I can do it again, but I love those caramel macchiatos yummy.
Liv will be 17 month old on Thursday! Almost to the year and a half mark. The rain is coming back tomorrow so I wanted to take Livi out and soak up as much vitamin D as possible over the last 4 days. Hopefully the sun will decide to stick around a bit longer next week.

Good morning sunshine heading to the park for a 6 am walk with mom and dad

Perfect Day

Today was perfect! The temperature in our area got up to (drum roll please.......) 73 degrees! A big jump from last weekend when we received 4" of snow. I knew it was nice out this morning but I had my nose deep into an amazing book. I couldn't put it down. It's called 'Thirteen reasons why' by Jav Asher. I totally recommend it and no, it's not about vampires for those of you who may be rolling your eyes. Seems like every book I've recommended lately is some how related to the immortal world.

This afternoon we went to our friend, Brandon's birthday party. It was nice seeing his family it's been a long time. The last time we went to their house Livi was maybe a month old. It was nice being able to eat outside and enjoy the sunshine. After dinner, dessert and presents. Brandon's mom got out their wagon and all the girls took Livi on a walk around the neighborhood and stopped at 2 parks for her to play. Hopefully the sunshine will stick around.

Sunshine and meltdowns

Looks like Spring has finally arrived! I doubt the sunshine will last long but it is here! I took today off because Matt's out at a card tournament he goes to every year. Livi and I headed down to the park in Sumner we like. I let her play there for a good hour to run off some of her energy. Then around 2pm we were going to head to the Daffodil parade in down town Sumner. She didn't take a nap yet today so I knew in the back of my mind things may not goes as planned. I got a perfect parking spot, got everything out of the car and went to put her in her stroller. Then it happened.... Worst melt down ever in her whole 17 months of life! It was so funny I couldn't help but laugh because she never does this. I went to strap her into her stroller and she flipped on to her belly and started kicking and screaming. So I decided to put her in the car and head home for a nap. I was bummed since it was so nice I thought it would be fun to enjoy the sunshine while it's around. The parade moves down to Orting tonight at 5pm so depending on her mood and how long of a nap she takes we may attempt to go to that one.

Trip to the Zoo

Let me start out by saying, Yes I am crazy and took my daughter to the zoo it was 40 degrees and pouring down rain. Our good friends, Renee and Josh drove over from Spokane this morning with their 2 foster kids. They picked me and Livi up and we headed out to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. It was so cold and most the animals weren't out due to obvious weather conditions I'm sure. We had a good time though. I was soaked but Livi was bundled up real good and stayed nice and toasty in her stroller. It was fun seeing them, the last time we saw then Livi was about 6 months old. There were a bunch of indoor exhibits and the aquarium so we weren't in the rain that much. My favorite exhibit at this zoo is the Beluga whales. Unfortunately one of them passed away last week so there was only one swimming around in the tank. It's sort of tradition every time we go to the zoo with Livi we always by her a stuffed animal so I got her a otter today she loves it keeps kissing it's little nose. We were at the zoo for an hour and half then I told Renee about Indulge Cupcake in Puyallup so while the kids were sleeping in the car we left Josh with them and ran in to get coffee and cupcakes to go. Next we stopped for lunch. My lunch ended early I had to take Liv out to their car to change her poopy diaper and ohh boy did she have a suprise for me. It was everywhere all down her leg, up her back sick! Thankfully I remembered to pack extra clothes. I always bring extra pants but she needed new everything. This was the first blow out she's had in months! Well I have to go get the family together we're heading to Nick's going away party in an hour. He's leaving to go back to Afghanistan tomorrow morning.

Mom you're crazy for agreeing to the zoo trip!
