Mullet
My sweet little Livi has a total mullet! She was sitting on my lap this evening I was laughing so hard I had to take a photo to share with you all. She's all business in the front and party in the back. Hopefully the sides will start to grow in. 16 weeks

Baby is the size of an avocado this week. He or she is getting eyelashes, taste buds, and for the first time, baby may be able to hear my voice as the bones in baby's teeny ears form. Gender can be confirmed by this point but I have to suffer 3 more weeks until we find out for sure.

Baby is the size of an orange but is already deciding if he/she will be a blonde, brunette, or redhead. Joints are functioning in all of baby's limbs, and he/she is supposedly kicking me, but so far all I can feel is little fluttering movement at times.

Stretch marks? I noticed the start of a new one blah...
Baby movement? still only a little fluttering I didn't feel Livi start to kick until around 17 or 18 weeks

9-11-01 Where were you?
Let us not forget those fallen in the attacks and the aftermath. Let us not forget those left behind. Let us not forget the men and women who are serving around the world.
Let us not forget that this incident, while tragic, is not one we have to live with everyday. Please remember to pray for those around the world for whom terror attacks like this are an everyday occurrence.
I saw this on Facebook today a survey of such asking people where were you on Sept. 11th 2001.
I was sleeping in my comfortable bed, possibly dreading another day at school. I was sixteen a junior in high school. I woke to the phone ringing and hearing my mom start freaking out once she answered. I tried to catch a few more minutes of sleep then jumped out of bed when she started yelling something about the second tower being hit. I asked her what happened and she told me the World Trade Center had been hit both towers. I did not know at the time what the World Trade Center was. I peeled my eyes away from the news to get ready from school. In each of my classes we spent the hour and half watching the news and talking about the events that were unfolding from the day.

Total weight gain/loss? Haven't got on the scale this week
Stretch marks? Still only what Livi left behind
Baby movement? Little bit of fluttering feeling here and there can't wait for the kicks :)
Food Cravings? POT ROAST, POT ROAST and MORE POT ROAST! It's all I want to eat and the only thing I've been thinking about all day. My mom was wonderful and made me pot roast on Monday and today one of my co-workers brought me some too. I plan on making it for dinner tomorrow so yummy!
Food Aversion? Anything sweet, strange I know. I bought a coconut cream pie and I haven't had a single slice and I passed on a few different desserts the other night at my parents I don't know why but sugar doesn't sound appealing
Belly Button? Still in and I'm sure it will be for a few more months
Milestones? 1 trimester down two to go.
So after going back and forth in my head since my last OB appt I decided I will be getting the swine flu vaccine when it is available. At first I wasn't sure because I felt like I'd be being used as a guinea pig, but this week I've read four stories of healthy pregnant women getting it and dying while in a coma. That scares the crap out of me so like my OB recommended I'll be getting the Swine flu and normal flu vaccine this year. Wont do my family any good if I'm not around. They're saying that pregnant women are the most susceptible to getting it. I've been a crazy person about washing my hands now and not touching my face. I wont even let Livi bring her favorite blanket into stores anymore I'm so worried about the stupid germs. I carry antibacterial wipes in my purse, in my car tons of hand sanitizer my poor hands are so dry from it all, but I'd rather be safe then sorry. I don't know yet if Livi will get the Swine Flu vaccine, she'll for sure get the flu shot as well as Matt. I need to talk to her pediatrician and see what he thinks.

It's back...
Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back at Starbucks! I was very excited for September first to roll around so I could order my favorite drink. I have been so good and haven't had a coffee this whole pregnancy, but today I gave in and got one. I'm sure it wont be the last one they are so good! I'll try and limit myself to a couple a week and try to avoid the drive thru daily on my way to work. I think that's where all my weight gain with Livi came from the countless trips to Starbucks all the time. So I suggest going out and getting a pumpkin spice latte
