Easter Weekend
I started this post on Monday night, but while in the process of loading photos I got a text telling me my dad was at the emergency room. He's fine now, but man let me tell you I was panicked getting that message. I have the day off so now I have some down time to finish this.
We couldn't have asked for a better Easter weekend. Saturday was absolutely beautiful. Our warmest day of the year so far. Got up to about 70. As soon as I got off work that afternoon the kiddos and I spent the rest of the day outside. We walked around town, played at the park. Got out bubbles and sidewalk chalk. It was wonderful, I wish out lowest temp was 70 that would be perfect. (We did get hit with snow again on Wednesday night blah... but I wont complain about our weather anymore. I couldn't imagine living down south where all the tornadoes hit this week.)
On Easter we spent the morning/afternoon just relaxing around the house. Livi was so excited about the Easter bunny and woke up around 6am. I had to convince her to cuddle in my bed until Daddy got home from work, so he could see them get their Easter baskets. The toys the got in the basket kept them entrained for the day. That evening we went to my parents for dinner. My dad and brother prepared an amazing meal. It was nice having everyone together. My brother usually works on Holidays, but he was able to get the whole weekend off.

Mommy time
This afternoon I enjoyed some much needed me time. I love my kiddos to death, but mama needed a little break for a few hours. I started reading Water for Elephants a few months ago, but left my book on the air plane back from Colorado in February. With the movie coming out I wanted to read it before seeing it. I borrowed a copy and had the book read in a day and a half. So today my mom and I went and saw the movie together. It was unbelievable, the story line stayed pretty close to the book. Like all books turned into movies they always add or take parts out. The things they changed in the movie made the whole story flow better I think. I'm totally going to be buying it when it come out. If you haven't read the book I suggest it and totally go see the movie.
Egg hunt
Matt and I decided we'd put together an egg hunt for the kiddos today. Mostly for Alivia, but Gidian did find a few of them. He was more interested in playing with the grass. We're suppose to have a lot of rain on Easter so with the sun out all day today worked out great for us. Livi was able to wear the cute dress my mom bought her. She looked adorable!

Easter eggs
On Sunday the whole family got together at my parents house for dinner and to dye Easter eggs. My sister even attempt to entertain us by juggling hard boiled eggs. Needless to say it didn't work out to well and resulted in less eggs to dye. Livi loved dunking the eggs and coloring on them with the wax crayon.

Ballet Class
Last night was Livi's third ballet class. She's really enjoying it, but I don't think her teacher likes her. Livi is still not following direction 100%, but what do you expect she's 3 and an almost hour long class isn't going to hold her interest for very long. Her recital is in a month and hopefully we can get her routine down. Livi just loves to spin in circles until she's really dizzy haha. I'll try to get video next week to share with you all. She's really cute when she's at practice.
