Baby blue eyes

One of my lessons in my photography class this week was on photographing babies/children I was looking through my 100's of photos of Alivia to see if I found any that really stood out that I could use for one of my assignments and I came across this photos of Alivia I just love how much her eyes stand out in the photo and I wanted to share it with you all.
Then here's another from the same day that I liked as well
Livi will be 8 months old next Wednesday (also Daddy's 26th Birthday) and she is now ont he move that's right we have a crawler! She can also sit herself up for any position she's in and her two front bottom teeth as well as her two top front teeth are all about to break thru. Not sure if i'll be doing anymore blogging before the 4th so we hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July. We'll be out at the lake where we got married at a big party, looking forward to it and the nice weather.

Loggers Rodeo

After work today Alivia and I headed to the Loggers Rodeo in Buckley with a few of my friends. It was about 90 degrees while we were there to hot in my opinion. After about an hour and a half of walking around checking things out we headed back to the car and Arlene and I decided to take Livi up to Mud Mt. Dam where we thought it would be cooler. We took Livi in the kiddie pool they had there it was a nice way to cool down. We got home and I remembered one of my friends gave me a blow up baby pool so I blew that up for Livi and we sat out on the back porch so she could splash around. Alivia has been teething a lot this week so I went out and bought her a mesh feeder she loves chewing on it filled with ice chips. Before we left for the rodeo I threw a package of her banana baby food in the freezer and when we got home I scooped some of the frozen bananas into it she loved it!

Tomorrow's suppost to be hotter and i'm not looking forward to it. I love the sunshine but when it get's past 80 it's too hot. It's just after 10 pm and our house is 91 degrees that's insane. Here's some photos from our day.

Weekend fun

I'm always bummed when the weekend ends and Monday is rolling around again. I really enjoy the fact I get Friday's off and it's nice to go into work for a few hours on Saturday but get off early enough to still enjoy most of the day then getting Sunday's off it's a pretty good balance.

We had a pretty packed weekend seems it's always that way when the sunshine is out I try hard to be able to spend as much time as possible outside since Livi loves the outdoors. After I got off work on Saturday we took Livi up to Brandon's place (Matt's best friend) it was his wife's birthday. We spent a good part of the evening over there. Came home and just enjoyed some family time. Matt's been working in the yard a lot lately trying to get it ready to have topsoil dropped off on the 5th of July then we're going to seed the front yard (backyard is next Springs task) This morning Matt got up early and headed off to a card tournament and Livi and I slept in until noon! It felt so nice to sleep in. We lounged around for a few hours then went to the store with my mom and got some groceries and Grammy bought Livi a new toy cell phone, which I might add is so annoying (thanks mom) and a new summer outfit. We got home and I made dinner real quick before Matt got home and got Livi feed. We had dinner with daddy then we left to meet up with my mom, Shellee and her kids for a walk on the trail. It was the perfect weather for a nice walk we got a bunch of cute photos of the kids. Shellee's youngest, Colton was born the same day as Alivia so it's fun seeing the two of them grow up and it's going by so fast! I'm going to leave this blog with some photos and a video clip from the weekend and i'm off to bed. Hope everyone is doing well and has a fantastic week!

Fun in the Sun

It was such a nice day today! I always have Friday's off so I was happy it was nice and sunny. Here's what all we did We started the afternoon out with a walk along the Buckley trail
Then we decided to get a blanket out and lay in the sun. I got my camera out and started taking some photos of Alivia for one of my assignments for my photography class
This one is mommy's favorite from the afternoon

After an hour at the park we headed to Target to return somethings and went grocery shopping. Last night Livi started waving so all through the store she was waving at everyone it's so cute. We went home Livi took alittle nap then we met up with my friend Arlene and decided to go take Livi to the park once again and let her swing in the infant swings they have there. She had a great time.

Her hair is starting to turn red alittle bit :)

Swinging with mommy

Once we were finished at the park we met up with my good friend, Paul and his wife outside the movie theater real quick to say goodbye he's heading off to Iraq. So please keep him and his family in your prayers! That about wraps up our day today.

Photography class

So I finally got my Mother's day gift! I've been looking into taking some photography classes for a while now and I wasn't able to find anything that really intrigued me. I got a college brochure in the mail from one of our local community colleges I was skimming through it one evening and came across a section of online courses. I went online and found a bunch of different classes that caught my attention. I told Matt about it and for Mother's day he said one of my gifts was I could sign up and take one of the courses. The course is called Mastering digital photography, photographing people. I figured it would refresh things I already know as well as improve the skills I have. It's 6 weeks long 2 lessons a week. I started this morning and I really enjoyed it! One of the assignments today had to do with lighting and composer. When I got home from work I got my camera ready and grabbed my favorite subject, Livi and got to shooting. I've been playing around with the different modes on my Canon Rebel Xti lately and i'm really enjoying the way my photos are turning out for the longest time I just used the main auto mode but now i'm discovering what this camera can really do. Here's just a few of my favorite photos keep in mind I was just messing around with what day light I had left so the photos could be a lot better and we were inside and our house has crummy lighting to begin with all are without flash.

Alivia's Father's day gift

So as promised here are some photos of Alivia's finger paintings she made Matt for Father's day. I helped with the hand and foot print but the rest was all her.

Alivia attended her first birthday party Saturday afternoon for Isabella, my friend Rebecca's daugher (Becca was one of my bridesmaids) Miss Bella will be 2 years old tomorrow I can't believe it. Seems like she was just born I remember waiting at the hospital forever for her to get here. Also in the photo is my friend Chanel and her son Trey, her and I have been friends since 2nd grade. Our dad's used to coach our basketball team together.

Father's day

Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad...
We hope everyone had a great father's day! We sure had a fun filled day and thankfully it was sunny out. We spent the early afternoon running around up in South Hill had to go to Costco then came home for a while to do some yard work. Then around 4pm we headed to my parent's house for a big BBQ with family and friends. It was a great time and my dad's BBQ like always is so yummy. Matt and I celebrated Father's day on Friday my parent's watched Livi and we went to the movies he wanted to see Iron Man and Hulk so we saw them both back to back. It's been almost a year since i've been to a movie in the theater. It was nice having a date night. Then last night Livi and I went to my parents where she finger painted daddy some pictures and did some hand and feet prints for him that I will be framing. Matt loved his paintings. Here's a few photos from today and a video clip of Livi from this afternoon she's getting so close to crawling I think by next week she'll be on the move.
