Breaking Dawn Part 1

Breaking Dawn Part 1 came out this morning at 12 am. My mom and I went with six friends for a night of great food, drinks and tons of laughs. I couldn't tell you the last time I had that much fun! Girls nights out are few and far between so I take full advantage of the me time. We had to stand outside the theater for about an hour and while waiting it started to snow. Our first snow of the season it was really neat.
The movie was amazing! By far my favorite in the series. My mom and I even snuck away this evening to see it again. Matt was playing cards tonight so we had our first non-family babysitter. Cami, my next door neighbor and her mom came by and watched the kids. I used to babysit her and her brother when they were babies. Crazy! Livi adores Cami and had a great time.

Toy Story on Ice

Wednesday was Alivia's 4th Birthday. We started the day out with cake batter pancakes. I got the recipe off Pinterest. I had to work for a few hours that morning so my mom watched the kids for a few hours. When Matt came home from work he surprised Alivia with a balloon, card and a red rose. She was so excited! That evening Matt and I took Alivia out to dinner with her friend Kylar and my co-worker/friend Cassondra (Kylar's older sister) then we went to the Showare Center for Toy Story 3 on ice. It was such a neat show. I'm so glad we went and Alivia loved it. My sister watched Gidian so we didn't have to bring him along. It was nice being able to just spend time with Alivia she seemed to enjoy having all the attention on her.
I'm still having a hard time believing my baby girl is four!

Rock Star Party

This afternoon we celebrated Alivia's 4th birthday with family and friends 'Rock Star' style.
(Her actual birthday is on Wednesday) I put a lot of time and effort into making this party fun for her, but man am I glad it's over. I'm exhausted! I set up a 'Glam Station' where I did the guests hair with colored gel, hair tinsel and spray glitter. It was a big hit! There was a craft table in the back where the kids made rock band bracelets. A photo booth was set up to take photos of everyone rocking out with items in our prop bag, inflatable guitars, glitter microphones, star glasses. There was way to much food and I have leftovers to last me for the next week I'm sure. I always figure though better to have more then not enough. Alivia got tons of neat gifts she is proudly sporting a new Hello Kitty wardrobe she got sparkly Hello kitty shoes, 2 zip ups and matching track pants, 2 shirts, a hat and tons of coloring books and doodle pads. She got a awesome play-doh kit and the Skylanders X-box kit and accessories for that. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. I can't believe my baby is going to be 4 in a few days.

Halloween

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween! We sure did. The kids had a great time and loved their costumes. We did a Toy Story theme this year (Livi's idea) she was Jessie and Ian was Buzz. The town I work in shuts down the main road and the businesses pass out candy from 4-6 pm. It's nice with our new salon location we're more in town and can participate in events like this. My mom had so much candy and pretty much got rid of it all. After we did the trick-or-treating down town we got Papa Murphy's for dinner then headed back out to a few houses in our neighborhood and my parents house.

500th post and Fall leaves

I just realized while I was starting this post that this will be my 500th blog entry. I started this blog the day Alivia turned 6 months old. Crazy how much our lives have changed and the things we've done since then.
Saturday after work the sunshine was out so the kids and I played in the leaves in our backyard. I love when all the leaves are on the ground. Always makes for a great photo op.
