So long 2009

Well our New Years Eve plans aren't going to be exactly how we had planned. We were suppose to go to a family friend's wedding tonight, but Livi came down with a stomach bug :( poor girl. Her and I were running some errands this morning and on the way home we were at a stop light and I glanced back at her just in time as she projectile vomited all over my car. Not once but twice, it was a huge mess! So Matt is going to stay home with her tonight and I'll go to the wedding for a few hours.

Poor girl I couldn't resist I had to take a photo. All over her new cream colored sweater Kyle bought her for Christmas. Thankfully daddy got all the stains out :)

While we were shopping at Target I was looking through the clearance racks in the maternity section to see if there were any good deals and let me tell you I scored big time! I've been eyeballing this eggplant purple maternity peacoat for the past few months, but couldn't justify spending $45 for a coat I'd only wear this winter. Today how ever it was on clearance for $11.48! I couldn't pass it up and it will go perfectly with my dress for tonight's wedding, which I also got on clearance at Target for $7 originally $30. Can I just say that I love Target!

We hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year! I'm going to end this post with a collage of photos from 2009 enjoy!

Mommy time

I haven't had any actual alone all by myself, away from everyone time since before Alivia arrived. Well today I was lucky enough to have some mommy time. I dropped Matt and Livi off at Matt's friends house this morning so they could spend the day there before his friend, Brandon goes back to Texas later this week. The plan was for them to spend the day with Brandon and his wife while I worked and then we'd go to dinner when I got off. I dropped them off around 9:30am and went home to a quiet house, it was so peaceful and yet kind of strange at the same time. I debated what I should do with the few hours I had to spare before work and decided I'm heading back to bed. I've been having a hard time sleeping lately and my back is killing me. Last night was the worse every time I'd roll over my back ached so bad. So it was nice to get a few more hours of uninterrupted sleep. I was so out of it I missed a phone call and received a few texts. I had my cell under my pillow and didn't hear it until my alarm went off. Those few hours of sleep were exactly what this mommy needed I woke up so refreshed and my back didn't even hurt anymore. After work I picked them up and we drove up to South Center to go to the Cheesecake Factory my parent's got us a gift card for a Christmas gift and I was eager to use it. The wait was about 30 minutes for a table and I was slightly annoyed at one point a couch there cleared off and Matt pointed it out to me and told me to sit down so I was grabbing Livi's hand to guide her towards it, but a couple stepped in my way and took the couch. Ticked me off! I said rather loud in their direction about how inconsiderate they were and I hope they got food poisoning. The cranky side of me is starting to come out. Dinner was awesome as usual and I got my favorite coconut/chocolate cheesecake to go, but I'm still to full to eat it tonight. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week and a Happy New Year. We'll be spending New Year's Eve at a friend's wedding so that will be fun.

Tackling the kids room...

I told myself after the Holiday's I would finally get around to cleaning out the kids room so we can get Ian's crib and there and what not. I started this afternoon and I was shocked when I went to organize all his clothing into different tubs by size how much he actually has. I have three bins full of clothing for him from New born- 18 month sizes I think we'll be set for a while. I only bought him two of the outfits the rest were given to me by friends which we're so thankful for. My plan of attack for deep deep cleaning my house is focusing on one room at a time that way I don't feel to overwhelmed. I'm getting rid of everything we don't need! I opened up a Rubbermaid bin in Livi's room today to see what was in it and it was full of her toys when she was a baby. She was all excited kept saying "Yay! New toys, new toys" it was so funny. I'm glad those kept her occupied while I organized. Well I plan on taking a nap now since she is down and then back to work. Some of my little guys clothing/ shoes there's a ton more

Presents, presents and more presents

Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! As much fun as I had I'm glad it's over with. Let me say Christmas is 100% better when you have your own kids. Seeing how excited Livi was over all her new toys was the best feeling ever. I set my alarm to wake up early Christmas morning to get coffee started for Matt and I made some cinnamon rolls for him and Livi (I'm allergic to cinnamon, what a stupid thing to be allergic to) just as I got them in the oven Alivia woke up right around 7am. Matt got her out of her room and her eyes were huge when she saw all the presents under the tree. She gathered them all up and put them on the couch where she ripped them all open for the next half hour. After presents and our mini breakfast we went to my parents house, it's been tradtion ever since we were little that we have breakfast burritos for Christmas breakfast they were so good! After we ate more presents were exchanged. My parents got Livi a Little Einsteins learning computer that plays music and letter/number games she loves it and wont put it down. Early afternoon we left and stopped by Matt's brother, Chris's for a while. Livi and I bailed early so we could take a nap before going to my parents for dinner. We had a wonderful Christmas and I can't believe next year we'll have two kids. Little Ian will be 8 months old come Christmas time how weird to think that.

Now that the Holiday's are done with I loaded up on organizational bins and such an Target today operation de-clutter/organize my house will start this afternoon after I take a much needed nap. I'm going to totally gut this place get rid of everything we don't need or use. Figure I better do it now while I can still function.

Tradition we get her an ornament every year, this year it's a Little Einsteins one she loved it!

Christmas Eve 2009

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas eve! We sure did and let me tell you I'm so full from all the food my parents made. I couldn't even eat any dessert. Livi had a good time over at my parent's house my sister and dad had set up a jumbo princess tent for Livi that my sister got her for Christmas. Livi was hesitant about it at first then as the evening went on she loved it. Shealun also got Livi a electric guitar that lights up and plays music and came with a matching pair of sunglasses.
Matt and I got Alivia so much stuff for Christmas that we started giving her a few presents here and there through out the day that way she's not totally over whelmed tomorrow and could have a chance to play with a bunch of them today. Well just wanted to share some photos from tonight and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Time for Matt and I to go put all the presents under the tree. Looking forward to the excitment on Livi's face in the morning can't wait! Pretty girl

Welcome home

Last Saturday Matt's best friend, Brandon was able to take leave from the Air force to spend a few weeks with his family over the holiday. His parents held an open house party on Sunday afternoon that we attended. It was nice seeing him again. Brandon left in August for boot camp and has been doing schooling to become a police officer. Here's some photos from the party.
