About time

Today finally felt like June around the Pacific Northwest. The past two weeks straight of rain and nasty weather has finally come to an end and it looks like it's sunshine and in the 70's for the next 7 days! After work today I took the kids to the park so Livi could run wild then we spent the rest of the evening at our friend's house. I even got up on the trampoline with her she thought it was pretty funny having me jump with her. Matt worked last night and has to tonight so he had to sleep and wasn't able to enjoy the sun with us such a bummer.
Ian's first Hurley outfit so cute :)

June-uary

The weather here the last few days has been crazy. One minute it's partly sunny and the next it's a monsoon out there. While getting ready for work this afternoon it started pouring rain. It was insane, coming down so fast. There was so much of it our gutters couldn't even keep up they were over flowing. It's almost summer and I'm ready for the sunshine. At work today they were saying it's 'June-uary' if it wasn't for the 64 degrees it did get up to this afternoon I would have thought it was January with all the rain, wind and dark clouds. Thankfully sunshine is on the way and it looks like we may get into the 80's on Sunday (Woo hoo happy dance)
I think the weather and staying indoors is creating major cabin fever for Alivia. She was insane this evening before bed. All over the place, jumping on the couch, running up and down the hall, making a mess. I was so ready for bed time I never thought the clock would get to 9 pm. I took lots of photos this evening take a look for yourself and the craziness going on at the Rapp house. I think Ian is thinking 'Seriously I'm related to her?'

Trampoline & rolling over

Alivia loves going over to my parent's neighbor's house to jump on their trampoline. I really don't like the idea of her jumping on it but she enjoys it. They have the netting around it and my mom or myself are always watching her. Livi loves to jump then land on her butt it's so funny. Then she throws a fit when it's time to leave. I never got a trampoline when growing up and were always envious of my friends who had them. We'll never get one either so she'll have to live with the occasional trip to Mark and Stevie's to jump.
Ian is getting so close to rolling over! When he's on him back he can almost roll on to his belly but his arm gets in the way. Reminds me of Livi, she had that problem as well and she'd always get so upset when she got stuck.

Rebecca's baby shower

On Sunday my good friend, Rebecca had a baby shower. She's due to have her second baby girl, Rosalie on June 30th. I had so much fun picking out baby girl clothing for her. I took Ian with me to the shower but Livi was sick so I left her at home. Livi loves playing with Becca's daughter, Bella so it was a bummer she couldn't go. I would have felt so bad if I brought her and Becca's family got sick so close to the baby arriving.
Becca looks great for being 9 months pregnant hardly a baby bump there at all. Seeing her so cute and pregnant makes me miss being pregnant. The last few weeks were uncomfortable but I did enjoy it and it kind of makes me sad that I'll never get to be pregnant again. My friend, Susan is due next week to have her baby. There's going to be lots of kids Ian's age that he'll be able to play with in the near future. Becca, Bella, Ian and I

Photo walk

This morning I met up with about 30 other photography lovers including my friend's, Trina and Keren in downtown Seattle for the Iheart Faces photo walk. We met at 9am and divided into three groups and photographed 3 different models all over Seattle. It was so much fun I really enjoyed myself. Once I upload all my photos and tweak them with photoshop I'll post some for you to check out.

Potty training update

How I wish I could be telling you all that I have a fully potty trained daughter, but unfortunately that's not the case and the 3 day potty training did not work for us. Let me recap how the last 2 days have been.

Monday~ Never went on the potty once. Peed I couldn't even tell you how many times on my carpet. She got better at letting me know she had to go to the bathroom. We'd run in there get her on the potty and she'd want down a few minutes later without going. Then a little while later (usually while feeding the baby) she'd pee on the floor. After dinner I was getting a bath ready for Ian and Livi came running in saying she had to go but I couldn't much get her on the potty since I was in the process of getting Ian out of the tub so she peed right outside the bathroom door.

Today was much like yesterday. I was so thankful to go to work today so I could get a break from all this potty training. I decided to take Ian with me in hopes if he was gone Matt could focus only on Livi and maybe the potty concept would click. While I was done she peed in her panties then pooed as well. Guess she was trying to hide the fact she was pooping kept telling Matt to look at the TV and not her silly girl. I get home and she's saying she needs to potty we go in the bathroom and like always she doesn't go. So I get Ian a bottle sit down to feed him and she tells me 'Mommy it's coming, come on' so I put the baby down real quick then follow her in she's standing on the bathroom rug peeing I told her to get on the potty and she tried to bolt from the bathroom mid-stream and slipped in a puddle of pee landed flat on her butt. After making sure she's ok I was rolling it was seriously the funniest thing I've seen in I couldn't tell you how long. By the end of this potty training I think I could write a book on the crazy things Livi did. Atleast she made it into the bathroom and missed my carpet this time.

I'd have to say I think the 3 day potty training would work if I didn't have the baby to look after as well as Livi. With Matt being sick I had to do it all and also if we started a few months ago it might have been easier. I read kids at 2 1/2 are stubborn and set in there way and are very hard to potty train. That I would have to agree with. So we're going to stick it out maybe with in the next week it will finally click. I will continue to keep her in pull ups during bedtime/nap time and if we go out in public until I know she can be accident free. Everyone is telling me boys are harder to train and I'm definitely not looking forward to that if it's true.
