6 months

<~ This little boy is growing up way to fast! Since we didn't have Internet last week when Gidian turned half a year old I wasn't able to update his monthly photo and let you all know what he's up to. So here it is a week late.
*Still in size 3 diapers
* Wears 9-12 month size clothing even some 18 month shirts fit him
* Sleeps 10 hours straight at night. I'm sure he'd sleep more if his sister didn't come barging into the room every morning waking him up.
* He is sitting up unassisted for short periods of time
* Army crawling everywhere!
* No teeth yet but his pediatrician said they're getting close to breaking through.
*Enjoys baby food, his favorites are pears and applesauce. Not a big fan of veggies but mommy makes him eat them :)

All settled

Only a few more boxes to unpack and we'll be done! This has been a long week to say the least. We are loving the new house! It's so big compared to our old one and I love the one level no stairs woo hoo. Our last house the floor plan wasn't set up very good for entertaining so we never really had tons of people over at one time. So tonight I had my parent's and sister over for dinner. I made a lasagna for everyone. Plus it is Grandparent's day today so what better way to celebrate.

6 month check up

Gidian at his 6 month check up

I have a few minutes to kill before Comcast calls me back to get our cable/Internet/phone all figured out for the new house. So I thought I'd update everyone on Gidian's 6 month appt he had this morning since I have Internet access at my parent's house.

6 month stats
Weight 20 lbs 4 oz (75-90th percentile)
Length 27 1/2" (75-90th percentile)
Head circumference 17" (90th percentile)

Gidian had to get his blood drawn to check his iron levels. I thought he would freak out when getting poked but he didn't just kept looking to see what the nurse was doing. Got another round of vaccines and given a good clean bill of health. We had to get him a prescription for fluoride drops since Buckley water doesn't have fluoride in it. I took a few photos of Ian at his appt but wont be able to put them on until my Internet gets hooked up on Saturday. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Moving day

Sorry I haven't updated in a while I've been so busy packing and getting ready to move. Tomorrow is the big day we're loading up the moving truck and moving. Can't wait to get out of this house! We'll be without Internet for a while until we can get Comcast out to hook it up. Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Fall is near

Being the last day of August it's a freezing (in my opinion) 52 degrees right now. I got word this morning that Starbucks released their fall beverages this morning. My favorite drink the Pumpkin spice latte is back as well as salted caramel hot chocolate or mocha (so yummy) and the new drink a toffee mocha. I'm in trouble here Starbucks why my you tempt me in so many ways. I've been so good staying away from you and limiting myself to one drink a week. Needless to say I'll be hitting up the drive thru before going to work this afternoon.

Got the keys to the new house on Sunday. Last night my dad came over and took a truck load of boxes over. We were planning on taking another load tonight, but it's raining today and I don't want our stuff getting wet. The moving truck will be here on Saturday. Can't wait to get everything moved in a unpacked. Hope you all enjoy the last days of summer since fall is near.

Livi & Lexi

Over this last week every time Livi takes a nap or goes to bed for the night she wants Lexi, our little family dog to sleep with her. I snapped the above photo this afternoon I thought it was precious.

Baby food

This evening I decided to feed Gidian some pears. He eats rice cereal, but isn't to fond of it so I thought we'd give baby food a go. He loved them! Figure I'll stick with the pears for a few days then give him some applesauce followed by sweet potatoes. Pretty much keeping it in the same order which I gave Livi when she was a baby. Over the past week Gidian has been trying to sit up on his own. He can lean forward in his bouncy seat and sit up all by himself and has sat up on the couch but he falls forward when not in his bouncy seat. He has a bumbo seat, but they never really worked for my kids, they both have thunder thighs so it's hard to wedge them in there then when taking them out you have to hold the seat with your foot and pull them out.
I've been on a mission for the past few weeks to locate jean-leggings for Livi. I have the hardest time finding jeans that her and my friend, Erin came to the salon a few weeks back and her daughter had leggings on that looked like jeans. Pockets embroidered on them and all. I found a pair at Target in the little girls section (size xs and they fit ekk she's not even three yet slow down baby girl you're growing to fast) I grabbed a pair they weren't exactly what I wanted, but they worked. So I was shopping on Macys.com and came across the exact one I was looking for and they were $9/pair I bought her four pairs. Two dark blue and two black. They are adorable and will go perfectly with her Uggs for winter. Feeding him pears (DON'T MIND THE MESSY HOUSE TRYING TO PACK THINGS EVERYWHERE)
