Ian's 4 month check up

My little man had his 4 month well baby check up this afternoon. His pediatrician was on vacation for the last two weeks so we had to postpone the visit a little longer. Happy to say Ian his healthy and is right on track with everything he should be doing. He does have some minor eczema on his cheeks but it's not to bad. Nothing a bit of aquaphore can't fix Dr. Schoos said. Ian got two vaccines and he screamed his head off poor baby and also got one oral vaccine.

Ian "talking"

After his doctor appt. we ran to Target to pick up stuff for his cheeks and some rice cereal since we got to okay to start feeding him some of that a day. When we left Target Ian and I took the car to the Toyota dealership to get our oil changed it took 2 hours. Ian was wide awake and restless the whole time usually shots knock my kids out and make them sleepy not this time. The last 20 mins we were there he just screamed and I could see my car out there waiting but they were taking their sweet time finishing paper work. I was stressed neither of my kids have ever screamed like that in public before nothing I did would calm him down.

Hanging at the dealership before the meltdown!

The kids and I went over to my parents when I got home so Matt could get a little more sleep before work tonight. We had dinner and Livi played in the backyard. Ian started to get a fever so we left pretty early. Gave him some infant Tylenol (Target kind since our Infant Tylenol was recalled) once he was happy we spent the rest of the evening cleaning out the kids room. Planning a big garage sale with some of my co-workers in August and I'm getting rid of everything we don't use or will not sue or have out grown. What ever doesn't sell will go straight to Goodwill. Livi was playing dress up while I was cleaning she was having a good time.

Happy Birthday Bethany!

Today was my sister in-law, Bethany's birthday so we met up with family at Red Robins for dinner. Last week while out to dinner at my sister's work she loaded me up with a few packages of Wikki Stix http://wikkistix.com/ and I was thankful it kept her entertained the whole time we were there. Had a chocking incident while tonight. Matt gave Livi a scoop of coleslaw (yuck) and she didn't chew it very well and it got caught in her throat. She was gagging and starting to turn red. I was panicked and started freaking out. Matt was pounding on her back and she eventually coughed it up and into my hands. There was a Army Medic sitting behind us and he jumped out of his seat to assist but Matt had gotten it out before he got there. It scared the crap out of me. While Livi was in the NICU after she was born the hospital offered us a CPR class and we also learned what to do when a child is choking so I'm glad we at least know what to do but geez you always hope you'll never have to do it.

Playdate

It's only after 3pm and we have had a busy day. This morning I met up with my friend Rebecca and her two girls. We took the kids to the library they had a guy playing kids music and they did dancing Livi was right up in front dancing all over the place. Then it was nearing lunch time and she had a melt down so we all headed to Wendy's for lunch. After lunch a quick trip to get Icee's then off to the local park where the girls ran wild for a while. Both my kiddos are napping now and we'll be heading out to dinner tonight for my sister in-laws birthday.

Ohh funny story so Livi can get herself up into her carseat. So she was doing so while I was getting Ian hooked into the car and she kept saying she was stuck. I went over to her side and some how while climbing in she got all tangled in the straps it took me 5 minutes to get her out. I even ran in real quick to get Matt since I was having no luck but by the time he got outside to help I finally got her loose. The first photo is her stuck No clue how she got stuck

Counting in Spanish

Here's a quick video clip of Livi counting to ten in Spanish last night

I so want one!

I came across the neatest strollers today while surfing the Internet and if I ever have a spare $400 I would buy one! http://store.philandteds.com/home.jsp There are 5 models of strollers and they 'grow' with your family. You can buy a separate adapter piece that hooks on to the back so an infant/toddler can ride back there how awesome is that? I have the bulkiest hard to push stroller I need to start saving so I can acquire one of these!

He rolled over

While Livi was napping this afternoon I laid Ian on his back to play with the toys on his activity mat. He was getting pretty close to rolling over then all of a sudden he did! He went from back to belly I was so excited and both Matt and I were there to see him do it. Go little man!

Weekend Fun

This has been one fun filled weekend! Yesterday afternoon the kids and I went to my friend's daughter's 2nd Birthday party. They had rented a bouncy house and Alivia loved it. I couldn't keep her out of it. Keren went all out for Miss. Norah's birthday. It was a rainbow theme, Keren went all out with the details. She had layered cupcakes and Jello in rainbow colors all the decorations were amazing. There were several other ladies there I knew from our mommy get together and what not and a few others I just met. Norah's birthday gave me lots of ideas for Livi's birthday party coming up in November. After the party the kiddos and I went home for nap time then spent the rest of the evening at my parent's house.
Matt's vacation ends tonight so we spent today as a family since it's been a busy/crazy week we haven't had to much family time. My friend told me about a new park in Bonney Lake which is pretty close to our house so we checked it out this afternoon. I think I have a new favorite park that I'll be taking the kids to. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
