Memorial weekend

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Memorial weekend. A lot of heart ache and sadness going on around our little community. Friday afternoon a 2 year old drowned in a river up the road from us. His family was camping. I couldn't imagine what his family is going through. Then Friday night one of my mom's friends, she plays bunco with was murdered by her husband and then he killed himself. They have two or three kids together. I feel so bad for those kids. If you could keep both families in your thoughts and prayers.

We had a nice weekend at home. I worked on Saturday, but was had Sunday and Monday off. Most our weekend was spent doing yard work and trying to get Livi to poop in the potty. We have been successful with 2 months of her peeing on the potty, but when it comes to pooping she wont do it. She really wants a bike, so we told her if she goes we'll go to Target and get the bike she wants. I was determined this weekend to get her that bike, but it was a fail never happened. (Hopefully this week we'll have success. Weather in the high 70's come Saturday and Sunday.)

All the photos I took this weekend were from my cell. Sorry if they're grainy of blurry. Keep meaning to post a photo of my new hair. I l love it!

Livi and I made brownies for a BBQ Sunday night. She picked the Funfetti ones out.

Our yard looks so nice after hours spent working on it.

May in photos

Since I didn't get around to updating much this month here's some of my favorite photos from the past few weeks.

She loves to play volleyball ;)

Melt down...

Where has the month of May gone? Can't believe it will be June on Wednesday. It doesn't feel like like June with all the rain, clouds and temps barley reaching over sixty. I apologize for the lack of updates, but nothing to exciting has been going on around here. We've basically been cooped up in the house anxiously awaiting summer to arrive.

While at work today my friend, Bree and I decided we'd take Livi and her two kids to see Kung Fu Panda 2 at our local theater. I took Livi to see Rio a few weeks back and she was great and sat through the whole movie. Unfortunately this trip to the movies wasn't like that. We got 3/4 of the way through and ran out of snacks. So then she wanted to stand up and jump around. I kept telling her to sit down and when she did she missed the seat of the chair and jammed her lower back into the corner of the arm rest. Wow... talk about going from zero to sixty in 3.5 seconds. Livi started to scream and hysterically cry in the middle of the movie. I tried to grab her and she freaked out even more because she didn't want to leave the movie. I finally got hold of her and my purse and was able to get in the hall way, where she started screaming louder because I made her leave. I pulled her into the restroom next to try and calm her down and all hell broke loose when she realized in the midst of her melt down she lost one of the press on nails Grammy had put on her this afternoon. More screaming and crying because I wouldn't go find the nail. Poor girl had a nasty red mark where she hit her back, it was a rough evening. I was mortified at the whole ordeal and I'd be surprised if we weren't banned from the Enumclaw Cinema haha. Cars 2 comes out next month and it's all Livi has been talking about so we'll see if we brave the theater again. Next time daddy is coming with us as well.

Mother's day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMMIES OUT THERE!
Hope everyone had a wonderful day, I sure did! I got to sleep in this morning which was amazing to say the least. I couldn't tell you the last time I slept until 9am. We went over to my parents this morning for breakfast, a mother's day tradition we do every year. My dad always makes waffles with strawberries and whipped cream for everyone. We all took an afternoon nap together then spent the rest of the evening together playing games, and eating a yummy dinner. I am very blessed to have my two babies and my awesome husband. I love them all very much!

3 year check up

Alivia had her 3 year well child check up this morning. The way our insurance works they'll only cover once a year after their 18 month appt. So their yearly check ups fall around their 'half birthdays' kind of a pain, but what can you do. Livi was so good this morning, I was a little worried because when we went a few months back it was hellish. She was such a big girl and answered every question the doctor asked her and told him all about her little brother and our dog. Livi is healthy and is growing right on track.

Three year stats

Weight~ 41 lbs 5 oz (95th percentile)

Easter Weekend

I started this post on Monday night, but while in the process of loading photos I got a text telling me my dad was at the emergency room. He's fine now, but man let me tell you I was panicked getting that message. I have the day off so now I have some down time to finish this.
We couldn't have asked for a better Easter weekend. Saturday was absolutely beautiful. Our warmest day of the year so far. Got up to about 70. As soon as I got off work that afternoon the kiddos and I spent the rest of the day outside. We walked around town, played at the park. Got out bubbles and sidewalk chalk. It was wonderful, I wish out lowest temp was 70 that would be perfect. (We did get hit with snow again on Wednesday night blah... but I wont complain about our weather anymore. I couldn't imagine living down south where all the tornadoes hit this week.)
On Easter we spent the morning/afternoon just relaxing around the house. Livi was so excited about the Easter bunny and woke up around 6am. I had to convince her to cuddle in my bed until Daddy got home from work, so he could see them get their Easter baskets. The toys the got in the basket kept them entrained for the day. That evening we went to my parents for dinner. My dad and brother prepared an amazing meal. It was nice having everyone together. My brother usually works on Holidays, but he was able to get the whole weekend off.
