Convenience care

Over the last 6 weeks we have been on and off sick. The kids and I anyway, Matt seems to be avoiding it (not fair). Livi and I both have had a cough for quite a while now. Last night and this morning before she went to school she sounded horrible. I called our pediatrician office and they couldn't get her in until Friday. So after I picked her up at school we went to the convenience care clinic our pediatrician office has up in Puyallup. It's a walk-in clinic that sees both kids and adults. I figured I might as well get checked out too. I was told it would be an hour wait. I should have left then. The hour wait turned into 2 1/2 hours before we were even seen by the doctor. Then after she came into the exam room she got called out again for another ten minutes. I picked Livi up at 11:45 am and we went straight there. We got home at 3:50pm. Both the kids were hungry and cranky and I was an hour late to work. Livi is fine, the doctor says her lungs are clear and the cough should go away on it's own. Since I have had the cough going on 6 weeks I got put on a antibiotic so hopefully it'll kick it out of my system.

ABC Club

Last Tuesday when I picked Livi up at school she handed me a outstanding student certificate she has got. She was able to name all capital and lower case letters. Didn't really surprise me, because she's been able to do that since she was two. I asked her if everyone in the class got one. Livi said only she did. I really didn't believe that she was the only one so far, but in her weekly newsletter there was a congratulations for her. She told me she was the first one in the class to join the ABC Club. Matt and I both gave each other a big 'ol high-five.

Disney on Ice

Livi's birthday is coming up in November and Disney on Ice will once again be here that week. This year it's 'Dare To Dream' all about princesses. Matt and I took Livi last year on her birthday and we say Toy Story on ice. She had a blast and I was thrilled when I got a flier in the mail with a promo code to buy tickets before they go on sale. So we'll be leaving the boys at home and will be making a girls night of it. My mom, auntie Shea, my friend Jessica and her daughter Jaidan are all going. I can't wait and I got us amazing seats, we'll be right off the ice.

Tattoos

Before Matt and I even got married we talked about getting wedding ring/band tattoos. Finally this year to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary we actually did it. We got matching infinity symbols. I was nervous, since I'm not a fan of needles, but it really didn't hurt that bad at all. I also got 'walk by faith' on my foot the same day. I'd have to say between both wrists, my foot and finger, I think my wrist tattoos hurt the most. I'm really happy with how my new ink turned out. I believe I am officially done with tattoos now, but you never know :)

2 1/2

Gidian had his 30 month check up on Friday. I cannot believe he is already 2 1/2. He's talking so much now and it's fun to listen to him and Livi talk to one another. Gidian weighs 36 lbs 2 oz and he is 40" tall. 95% percentile for his weight and over 95% for his height. We have some big, healthy kids around here. Besides the little cold he has (well we all have) Gidian is happy and healthy.

School update

I realized I never got around to posting these photos of Alivia on her first day of school.
We are about to start our third week of school and she is loving it. Livi's favorite part of the day is recess. She's been learning the alphabet in sign language and knows A-L as of right now. They learn a new letter every day. Every Friday we get a folder full of their work from the week and it's fun to go trough it all and talk about what she's learning about. I'm glad she's taken well to school and loves it.

Pre-K

Miss. Livi started school today! I can hardly believe we are to that point already. Wasn't she just in her infant car seat coming home from the hospital? She was so excited this morning. Livi didn't meet the birthday cut off for Kindergarten this year, but our district offers pre-k to kids who are just shy of the cut off. She goes 5 days a week from 9-11:40am. I hope she has an awesome first day. I'm counting down the minutes until I can pick her up and hear all about it!
