Heat Wave

Say hello to my new friend!

This week Washington State is experiencing and insane heat wave. Seattle is suppose to hit it's highest forecast ever of 101 at some point tomorrow. It got up to 100 today and is suppose to hit up to 104 tomorrow in our area. Then slowly creeping down to the high 80's by early next week. Our house is in the sun all day and just bakes last night at one am it was 90 degrees in my house even with all the fans on and windows wide open. Livi got up at 6am probably due to the heat, so we started our day early (early for us anyway considering we usually sleep until about 9am) I had to go get an estimate for my car because a guy backed into my car a few weeks ago. We bother were out of the house by 7:30 am. I had decided while getting ready this morning I was determined to find a portable a/c unit. I checked everywhere in Bonney Lake starting at Home Depot, Fred Meyer, Lowes then Target. Nothing not even a fan in stock. I gave up the search got the estimate on my car and decided i'd try my luck at Costco. I got there at 9am and I saw about 5 people in line so I figured they had gotten a shipment of a/c units in. I was right they had 16 portables and 12 window units. Livi and I waited in line for an hour and by almost 10 am there were at least 100 people in line hoping for an a/c. One of the employees came out with sale slips for the units and gave them to people in order of the line up and one a/c per person so yay I was able to get one! Then the kicker was I knew it wouldn't fit in my car thankfully my friend Bree and her hubby Chuck said they'd come pick it up for me, but I had to wait since they had prior commitments this morning. I finally got home with my a/c after 1pm. I was at Costco for almost 4 hours, but it was worth it. I was so proud of Alivia she was such a trooper and hardly threw a fit while we waited for my friends to pick up the a/c. Matt hooked the a/c up this afternoon while I was working and let me just say it's amazing! Livi is passed out on the couch right now and I'll be joining her shortly, still too hot in our rooms. I wish the unit could cool the whole house, but I'll take one large room over nothing.

Summer get together

This evening a bunch of my friends from high school got together for a BBQ. It was nice catching up with everyone it's been over three years since we'd all seen each other at the same time. Not much else to say so I'm heading to bed enjoy the few photos. Livi and Nick

Just wanted to post a few random photos I took Friday night. We spent the evening on the lake with my parents in the boat. It was so nice. Alivia even started falling asleep while we were out. I don't know how it was so bumpy. Grandpa even let her drive the boat she thought she was pretty cool. Enjoy!

Mariner's game

Every year my dad's work does a Mariner's game and tail gate party outside Safeco field. My dad does all the catering for it yum...so good! Well today was the day for the event. It was a beautiful day in Seattle. Livi had a great time she loved all the people, the music and clapping at the game and not to mention she went crazy over the garlic fries! She didn't have a nap today so the minute we pulled out of the parking lot she was out like a light.

Tattoo

This afternoon my friend Arlene and I ran down to Action Tattoo to get our tattoos touched up. I decided a while back I wanted to get Livi's b-day put under her name so today I did. I love my tattoo even more now! Like my fake smile? It hurt i'm not going to lie

4th of July

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July! We spent the day at Corinne and Steve's house on Lake Tapps (where we got married) It was a beautiful day got up to ninety at one point. We spent all afternoon in the water with Livi she loves to play in the lake. She also got to take her first boat ride on my parent's new boat. There are a ton of photos enjoy!
